Abstract: Elliptic curve cryptosystem (ECC) has been an integral part of the current cryptographic protocols. ECC exploits the group structure of the solutions of an elliptic curve, resembling its similarity to RSA cryptography. On the other hand, supersingular isogeny graphs, associated with a more advanced cryptosystem based on isogenies between elliptic curves, were introduced as part of post-quantum cryptographic protocols. In this elementary talk, we introduce such graphs, related arithmetic properties, including their relation to ideal class groups of number fields, and various other properties.
